World leaders and UK businesses have committed to become net zero by 2050
But what does that mean for investments related to those companies and countries?
We have a number of measures that can help you to see what the impact of climate change could be on your investments.
In our Fund Climate Report we share detailed information about climate change and your investments.
If no data is shown for the fund you’re invested in, this could be because either the fund:
- is invested in assets that are not assessed by the report (for example, cash or property) or
- is managed by an external manager and we’re still working with them to get all of the data we need

With profit funds will have a variety of different types of investments, known as assets. The combination and amounts of these assets will depend on the policy you have.
The climate figures for each with profits fund uses the average mix of assets held as at 31 December 2023.
A unit-linked fund, otherwise known as an insured fund, is a fund that is linked to a plan issued by an insurance company that lets you combine your money with other planholders.
Lifestyle profiles are investment options that are designed to make it easy for you to save for retirement. They’re invested in unit linked funds which gradually and automatically move into different funds which are carefully chosen to reflect how you plan to take your money in retirement.
The funds you’re invested in will depend on how close you are to retirement.
