As you know, the value of investments can rise and fall. Sometimes though, when a fund is consistently underperforming, it may be worth reviewing the situation with your financial adviser.

To support you and your adviser we review the performance of the ReAssure Life funds every three months (this only includes funds that came to ReAssure from Old Mutual Wealth). The purpose of the review is to identify any funds that have consistently underperformed over the past three years.

This report should be viewed together with your annual statement. This is so you can understand if any of the funds you are invested in have performed poorly over an extended period.

We are highlighting the funds that have performed poorly relative to peers over a defined period. Our approach measures a fund’s performance against Investment Association (IA) sector.

When a fund has underperformed against its IA Sector, we mean that it has been performing in the bottom 25% of all other similar strategies within the same IA sector for the last three consecutive years. We do not include funds in the report that have less than a three-year performance track record.

If you are in any doubt as to the performance of your funds, we strongly suggest you speak to your financial adviser.

The following list shows the funds of concern and their sector:

If we take any further action regarding the funds on the above list, such as closing a fund that has not improved its performance, we will let you know ahead of time.
