This form is to help you decide whether you need apply for a Transitional Tax-Free Amount Certificate. Once you’ve completed all of the questions we’ll explain what you need to do next, so please make sure you’re confident of your answers.

 

In most cases, you’ll only need to consider applying for a Transitional Tax-Free Amount Certificate a few months before you plan on taking a tax-free withdrawal from one of your pensions.

Have you had a serious ill-health lump sum under age 75?
Was the full value of your LTA used taken as a serious ill-health lump sum(s)?
